Day-of

Dear Undergraduate Conference Participants:

Please arrive before 9:00am. The conference will begin with coffee and refreshments at 8:30am. Opening remarks will start promptly at 9:00am with the first presentations at 9:15am. Lunch will be provided. The conference will end around 4:00pm with presentation of conference awards at 3:15pm. All events will take place in the Kaplan Hall.

Attendance: As a sign of respect for your fellow students, please plan to attend the full conference, not just your own panel. Everyone has put a lot of work into their presentations and each presenter deserves the attention of other participants. Keep in mind that many students are traveling from as far away as San Diego, Santa Barbara and even Berkeley to participate. Support your fellow scholars!

Presentations: If you are planning to do a PowerPoint presentation, please email it to the organizer a day before. We also advise that you bring your presentation  on a flash drive, as a back up. If you have a PowerPoint presentation that involves embedded movie or audio files, you might want to bring your own laptop, in case there are incompatibility problems, especially if you use a Mac.

Attire: Conferences tend to be rather formal so you should dress accordingly.
